The Fairfax County District Attorney came and spoke to students about his work, his career path, and the Conviction Integrity Unit that he founded.

This event was hosted by Free Minds, which is a DC-based nonprofit that tries to keep incarcerated kids and adults connected to the community through books. We zoomed with formally incarcerated people and gave feedback on the poems of people who are currently incarcerated.

Students heard from a panel of 3 people: the pro bono lawyer for Sidley & Austin (which is where the Obamas worked), the founder of a trademark law firm, and the former assistant prosecutor for the Eastern District of Virginia.
